Canaan Baca is a worship leader and songwriter shaped by the local church. Raised as a pastor’s kid in California’s Central Valley, he began leading worship at just 12 years old! What started in children’s ministry has grown into a lifelong calling. He now serves as Lead Worship Pastor at New Life Church in Renton, Washington, a historic congregation approaching its 100th year. Alongside his wife Emilie and their children, Brave and Josiah, Canaan is devoted to building worship environments rooted in Scripture, unity, and the presence of God. As a founding member of One Voice Worship INT, he introduced the song “More Like Jesus” on the collective’s debut album The Table. Since its release, the song has resonated with churches and listeners around the world, carrying a sincere prayer for transformation and Christlikeness.
